NYCbook app for iPhone and iPad

NYCbook app serves as an extension to the physical photobook "New York City Through a Tour Guides Eyes," a photographic guidebook by Evgeniya Simmons, showcasing major NYC landmarks in Augmented Reality. This app allows users to see New Yorks skyscrapers and statues in 3D, experience a virtual art gallery, New Years Eve Ball Drop and much more.

In order to see the 3D models, aim your rear facing camera towards a selected page in the book. The list of Augmented Reality pages is indicated in the apps menu.

NYCbook Application utilizes Augmented Reality technology to recognize the position of printable component markers. This process is done on the device and does not transmit images to a cloud based service. The position of these markers is used to position the location of the Augmented Reality objects on the device screen.
